The Olneyville Expo is a theatrical event celebrating the history, culture and community of the Olneyville neighborhood of Providence. Borrowing both the variety format and the ethics of education and uplift from 19th Expositions, Chautauquas, and Worlds Fairs, The Olneyville Expo brings together community groups, historians, ecologists, storytellers, artists, performers, engineers and artisans to create a collaborative portrait of the space we share. Part lecture series, part variety show, part dance party, The Expo is an eclectic bilingual performance by, for, and of the people of Olneyville.
Performances start at 7pm, or come by Donigian Park at 6:30 pm to enjoy some pre-show music while sitting in the beer garden by TROOP -- and to visit interactive community booths set up by The Wilbury Theatre Group, Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council, What Cheer Flower Farm, Farm Fresh RI, One Neighborhood Builders, and many more of our community partners!
