PRESENTERS OF
​FRINGEPVD: the providence fringe festivaL®

The Wilbury Theatre Group produces FRINGEPVD: The Providence Fringe Festival® and our year-round staff and creative teams serve in official capacities for the Festival alongside part time Fringe-only staff, volunteers, and collaborators.

Since our founding in 2010, The Wilbury Theatre Group's mission has been to engage our community in conversation through new works, reimagined classics, and adventurous playmaking. Through the development of our Main Series season, outreach and education programs, new work development programs (a.k.a. Studio W), and as producers of the Providence Fringe Festival®, we are proud to bring these professional theatre productions to a diverse and ever-evolving community. 

In 2018 The Wilbury Theatre Group was recognized by the presenters of the Tony Awards, The American Theatre Wing, with the National Theatre Company Award in recognition of the company's role in developing outstanding new work, and fostering education and community engagement by vitalizing regional theatre.
