DESCRIPTION OF PIECE:

Got Beef? is a live talk show. When asked (by themselves) which of the myriad hot topics facing Rhode Islanders (like themselves) would they like to commit to dissecting in their first official talk show, hosts Ana González and Zoë Thompson came to the same conclusion: BEEF. The thing you eat and the thing you have. The tenderloins and the tender moments between enemies in formation. Where does beef come from? Can it change societies? And how many minutes should we be cooking steak? Set in typical late night talk show fashion but with some surreal and zany twists, Ana and Zoë will raise these questions and more to a panel of esteemed and specialized experts, including a real life butcher and their most gossipy friends and neighbors, all to get to the meat of the issues. There will be multimedia interstitials, a musical performance, and, just like any good talk show, a couple of opportunities for audience participation.
