You’re invited to the sleepover! Join Stacey and Ruth in celebrating Stacey’s 12th birthday – there will be party hats, party games, and party secrets. But be careful, you might just fall through time and space to discover the hidden meaning of the birthday cake, and experience the exquisite and mortifying truth of prepubescence. Incubated in Wilbury’s own Embodied Action class and Booboisie Ensemble, this show is steeped in Providence’s home grown clown culture – chock full of audience participation, dance, improv, and many tiny cakes. Our story begins at a sleepover, but soon explodes into a surrealist dream when two washed up fairy godmothers arrive to help the friends grow up…. |
