What We Bring to the Table: Short Plays by The Blue Cow GroupThe blue cow groupDESCRIPTION OF PIECE:
For almost everyone, a table is a repository of memories—of gatherings, both joyful and sad; of celebration; of mourning; of argument and conflict. We gather around a table for holiday feasts, for conversations with friends, for card games and board games, for family meetings and, yes, even showdowns. In our six short plays, each written by a different playwright, the table will be a shared anchor, dramatically. All the things a table represents will be on the table, as it were, ready to be explored. What then do we bring to the table? Come and see what’s shared, what’s suppressed, what’s revealed, what’s contested—around the table.
