ABOUT THE SPACE:
Propel Gallery is a pop up contemporary gallery with no permanent home. For this run we take over the gallery at Make Do Studios on Tingley Street to present In/Out of Control. ABOUT THE EXHIBITION: In/Out of Control is a group exhibition that lives inside one tension we all know, how much to hold and how much to let go. Control can steady us, the discipline that builds a life and finishes a thing, and it can also become a cage. Losing control can feel like falling, and it can also feel like flying. The work is made through deliberate choices and through accidents the maker never planned, and it asks where you stand between holding on and letting go. |
