DESCRIPTION OF PIECE

Modern Butchood is a scripted, fictional solo-show. This distinctive black comedy follows Butch, the girlfriend of a semi-famous lesbian Tik-Toker. Feeling caught in her relationship, and loosing touch with her individuality, Butch begins sneaking out of her apartment at night. What follows is a quickly unraveling tale of lust, guilt, mistakes, and queer identity. Modern Butchood is equal parts laugh out loud funny, touchingly vulnerable, and inescapably human. East Coast Premiere.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Molly Gloeckner is an Actor, Writer, and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She is excited to be bringing Modern Butchood to Providence after a wildly successful premiere at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June 2024. Molly graduated with an Acting degree from Columbia College Chicago. Recent credits include the role of Robin in upcoming feature film Steven's Last Night in Town, series regular as the voice of Kit Castille in the podcast Deep Space Radio, and various independent short films. Molly just finished writing and directing her third short film and is currently a film student at LACC. You can watch her films on her youtube channel.
