DESCRIPTION OF PIECE
​

moments, an evening-length dance-theater work exploring memory, loss and love, unfolds through subtle gestural movement and emotionally evocative music. moments evokes memories of past relationships, the longing for a closeness once felt, and the challenge of how to move forward through grief. Choreographed by Ali Kenner Brodsky and performed by dance artists Kenner Brodsky, Scott McPheeters, Jenna Pollack, Jessi Stegall and Ilya Vidrin; music composed and performed by MorganEve Swain; costume by Hertling and fiber artist Alex Davis.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ali Kenner Brodsky makes gesturally rich and emotionally driven dance-theatre works and films. She received a 2022 Massachusetts Cultural Council Choreography Fellowship and was part of NEFA'S NE Regional Dance Development Initiative 2021/22. She was an AIR at the Croft 2019, Bates Dance Festival 2016, Joyce SoHo 2003/4, and the Dance Complex 2018/19. She was a recipient of the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts Choreography Fellowship 2014. With Lila Hurwitz and Andy Russ, Ali is co-director of Motion State Arts. AKB makes home in Dartmouth, MA with her husband, two children and five chickens.​
