Join us for a conversation with Fringe artists about how their shows came to life. Ever wanted to stage your own one-act play, puppet show, sketch comedy set, or mini-opera? Well then, come to this panel discussion and Q&A with FRINGEPVD's 2024 artists!

Alexander Bulova is a media producer, director, and playwright living in Providence, Rhode Island. His latest production, Cliff Palace, is being performed as part of the 2024 Providence Fringe Festival. Local credits include It’s a Wonderful Life Radio Hour (2023) at Stadium Theatre and their upcoming production of The Diary of Anne Frank (2025). He is a co-founder of the Class Act Players theatre company, where he wrote and directed SuperNOVA (2016, co-writer), The Complete History of Fairfax: The Musical (2017), and Modern Art (2019). Other directorial projects include Three One Acts by Anton Chekhov (2021, virtual production, Workhouse Arts Center), Imaginary Invalid (2020, virtual production, Steadfast Theatre), The Drowsy Chaperone (2019, Sinfonicron Light Opera Company), and Antony and Cleopatra: In Space! ​Sandra Laub
has combined theater, education, and community outreach for over 35 years. She has acted in dozens of productions, including musicals, classic and contemporary plays, and premieres of new works. Off Broadway credits include Circle Rep, WPA, Dance Theater Workshop, Equity Library Theater, Ensemble Studio Theater, La Mama, and Joseph Papp's Shakespeare in the Park (Richard III with Kevin Kline.) Local audiences have seen her perform at The Gamm, The Granite, Perishable, 2nd Story Theater, Brown, and URI. As a playwright, Sandra adapted and performed in Madame Bovary for off-off Broadway, the letters of GB Shaw and Mrs. Patrick Campbell ("Mrs. Campbell! Mr. Shaw."), and Nora Ephron's Imaginary Friends.  She tours William Gibson's "Golda's Balcony" and her own "Picking Up Stones: An American Jew Wakes To A Nightmare".

​Teddy Lytle
pursued a B.A. in Theatre and Music from Muhlenberg College, and later received his MFA from Brown University Trinity Repertory.  He is an actor, poet, fight choreographer, a multi-instrumentalist, an aspiring educator and a theatre maker who has participated with FringePVD since 2020.  His mission is to address and destigmatize addiction and mental health through the arts.

​Cynthia 
Mendes
 is a social justice activist and organizer. She is a former state senator for Rhode Island and current environmental leader and campaign strategist. She appeared in Reverie Theatre Group's PVD Fringe presentation of Pod:Orca:Pod by Brysen Boyd, where they developed the performance as a collective group. ​
