DESCRIPTION OF PIECE

Love is complicated. Estelle knows that Lisa is in love with her husband but which woman is The Stronger? A one act opera by Hugo Weisgall featuring soprano Letita Stevens. Presented with a prelude and postlude. Sung in English, French and Italian with English Supertitles.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hope and Anchor Opera is a 501(c)3 opera company based in Rhode Island who firmly believes that everyone has an opera out there that will appeal to them and we are dedicated to matching patrons to operas that they will love. Like Tinder . . . but for music.

British soprano Letitia Stevens has been praised for her expressive performances, warm, rich tone and comic timing. Boston based, Ms. Stevens teaches voice, music theory and beginning piano. She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance, with distinction, from the Longy School of Music, Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she was an honors winner. She performs regularly throughout the New England area.
