Finding the funny in foreign policy. In this solo storytelling piece, Jo-Anne Hart uses her real fieldwork, including being seen as a prostitute, her mishaps and insecurities -- in contexts including the end days of the Soviet Union; to meeting with the President of Iran; and to landing on an aircraft carrier at sea to brief US naval leaders – to show us the humorous backside, private anxiety, and the costuming disasters behind this serious work. Come cringe, laugh, and gape at stories from a hard-working travel whore for international peace. ABOUT THE ARTIST Jo-Anne has performed her nonfiction pieces in New England, Sweden, and Norway. She was a Grand Slam Winner at the Ko Festival of Radical Performance in Amherst, and at the 2024 PVD Fringe Festival her storytelling performance was voted Audience Favorite One-Person Show as well as Audience Favorite Love Story.
