DESCRIPTION OF PIECE

A one person telling of Gilgamesh that brings forth the friendship, adventure, and thoughtfulness of the ancient Sumerian epic, through his friendship with a hairy wildman, the battle with the Bull of Heaven, the Tale of the Great Flood, and the quest for immortality!

ABOUT THE ARTIST

​John Heimbuch is an actor, writer, and director based in Minneapolis. He is the Co-Artistic Director of Walking Shadow Theatre Company and has been traveling the country off-and-on since 2019 performing the works of solo storyteller Charlie Bethel. He performed Beowulf at the Providence Fringe Festival in 2022.
