KAIROS Dance Theater’s husk/vessel, created in collaboration with legendary choreographer Paula Josa-Jones, is a powerful dance-theater work that explores the body as both a vessel of memory and a husk shaped by time, resilience, and loss. Developed entirely during the COVID-19 pandemic, the piece captures the raw physicality and emotional intensity of a world in flux. Through haunting imagery and dynamic choreography, husk/vessel navigates the tension between strength and fragility, presence and impermanence. A meditation on transformation, it invites audiences into a visceral, immersive experience where movement becomes an act of both survival and surrender. ABOUT THE ARTIST KAIROS Dance Theater creates socially engaged, movement-based performances that fuse bold storytelling, intense physicality, rich imagery, and multimedia to illuminate urgent societal themes.
